The PokéDev, or Pokémon Device, is a handheld system with various applications that provides useful information for adventuring. Below is a list of the available Applications for the PokéDev.
The Clock Application gives the current time, as well as the time of day. (Morning, Day, Evening, Night) In addition, the Clock allows the player to set an alarm to any given time.

The Map Application allows for users to view Cuaro as a whole, zoom into the map, or view specifics of certain cities by clicking on their icons. The Stylus icon allows for players to draw on the map. Useful for marking berry, item, or other special locations.
The Phone Application allows you to call trainers whom have given you their phone number, as well as allows trainers to contact you with important information. Unlike the Pokégear from the second generation games, trainers will not call just to talk. Trainers will only call you if there is important information to deliver. In addition, an icon will appear beside a trainer's name if they are looking for a battle rematch.
The CD Player Application allows the player to listen to various songs while off on their adventures. The tunes continue even if you enter a building, mount your bike, or do just about anything that changes background music. The CD Player will automatically shut off, however, if there is a cutscene. After the cutscene is over, the CD Player will continue to play on the CD you had set.
When players recieve the CD Player Application, they additionally recieve a CD that plays battle music. Some NPCs will as well give out CDs either randomly or after completing a task for them. CDs can also be bought for Battle Points at the Battle Frontier. Each CD contains one unique song.
Allows the player to study Type Weaknesses and Resistances against every possible type combination.
The Drawing / Memo Pad allows for players to doodle freehand or write notes to themselves. The good news is, the memo or doodle doesn't erase when you swich applications.
This application tracks the amount of steps your character has taken. It comes equipt with a reset button which makes it perfect for tracking how much longer you have to hatch a Pokémon egg, or to measure distances between locations.
This application is set up similar to a radar. When the screen is touched a signal is set off in a circle, scanning the general area your character resides in. If an item is found, a dot will appear where that item was tracked.
This application shows the status of any Pokémon that are left at the Day Care. It shows the Pokémon itself, its level, and if an egg is waiting at the Day Care as well. In addition, the screen displays how much money it would cost to retrieve each Pokémon from the Day Care.
The Camera feature allows players to take "pictures" of their surroundings. They're allowed a maximum of 15 photos in storage, and pictures may be taken or deleted whenever, as long as the player is not in-battle or in a cutscene. A picture is basically a copy of the top screen at the given time the photo is taken. Take advantage and snap pictures of your favorite in-game moments.
